MATRICS IP is a generic solution using the latest Ethernet technology and IP enabled equipment. This makes possible the unified collection, transmission and recording of information from all sources, including video, audio, radio, plant sensors and equipment. With all sub systems sharing a common data format, MATRICS IP is able to take account of the context in which the information is received and identify routine and emergency situations. This enables determination of the most appropriate overall response. Flexible presentation tools are used to ensure that the User Interface is intuitive, and alarms are co-ordinated across all types of source. The ability to implement project cabling taking account of all sub systems at the design stage, combined with the ability to carry out full integration testing pre-site installation means that on-site project costs and risks can be substantially reduced.
