Our long term involvement with specialist project implementation, particularly in relation to lighting and ventilation control for tunnels and similar confined structures, means that we are often called upon can provide real expertise in the area of design and project management support, and we have provided such services to Tunnel and Metro projects worldwide.

PDS involvement in project implementation has developed from a specialist involvement in Control Systems, through responsibility for overall design integration, to a position where PDS is now taking responsibility for turnkey integrated project solutions, including provision of the specialist sub systems such as CCTV, Traffic Monitoring, Vehicle Incident Detection, Traffic Management Systems and including local and remote VMS signs.

PDS has a dedicated maintenance and support department which is specifically focussed on long term and through life project support for all types of transportation infrastructure projects including tunnels and bridges, road networks, airports, toll systems, buildings, rail, metro and underground systems. We currently provide support to 20 UK Road and Infrastructure Tunnels in the UK and Ireland.

We have our own team of Software development Engineers. Typical Transportation related products include bespoke SCADA system modules: PDS expertise in SCADA systems is such that standard in house solutions can include sophisticated alarms packages, custom compiled code modules and custom protocol drivers.
